Living Life Like It's Golden

Award season is upon us and The Golden Globes was the first major fashion moment of 2017 so far. With that being said let's talk about what we can expect to see on the red carpet this award season. Oh, and we can't leave out the hit and misses of this year's Golden Globes!

We know the Golden Globes are all about acting, but we can't help but to focus on the dresses. Bold colors and embellishments were a big trend on the red carpet. Yellow and gold were a favorite color amongst the ladies. Viola Davis stunned in her canary yellow Michael Kors dress. Meanwhile, Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon also wore yellow tone dresses on the carpet to the Globes.

Going for golden plus embellishments was Kerry Washington. The hair and makeup was a win, but I felt the dress was a NO! The length of the dress was tea length and not formal plus I have seen

her look beyond amazing on the carpet and this just didn't do it for me. However, I do get it and I don't think it was horrible. Side note, Ms. Kerry looks incredible just giving birth 3 months ago, kudos to her!

My absolute hands down favorite of the night was Blake Lively. That black velvet Versace dress with the gold embellishments for pockets had me doing backflips and twirls. Gorgeous darling!

The next big red carpet moment will be at the SAG awards on January 29th. I don't think the bold colors or embellishments are going anywhere anytime soon. Showing a little skin seems to be a trend as well so let's see what the beautiful actresses bring next!
